Insight Vacations has recently announced the launch of its 2010 Europe and Britain collection, including the new Select program, which features flexible journeys for independent-minded travelers. The new Select program consists of 10 independent-style itineraries, each allowing travelers to tailor their vacations to suit individual needs, tastes and time limits.

On Insight’s Select program, flexibilityand choice are the key components from start to finish. Clients can personalize the duration of their trip; either opting to begin the tour on day one, day two or even begin in the second touring city. Travelers can also choose to stay longer, depart early or depart from the next to last city. All Select programs include full breakfast daily, our world famous 40 seat Insight motor coaches, Insight’s quality hotels and an orientation tour in each city, giving guests the perfect starting point to begin their own personal exploration, taking in sights and highlights that match their specific interests.

In addition, to ensure that the tour is completely hassle-free, our expert Insight tour directors are on hand for the entire trip acting as a ‘personal concierge’, providing well-informed yet unobtrusive assistance throughout the journey. Staying true to the flexibility and choice components, the tour directors will also offer guests a range of ‘Experience’ packages in each destination. Select Italy – 15 days priced from $2685 per person, twin share, land only. Leave the tour in Sorrento on Day 12 and save up to $450 per person off the twin-share price. This itinerary is the perfect option for travelers who want to discover the magic of Italy with plenty of time to explore its major cities. Spend a few days in the Italian Lake District to enjoy alpine scenery, relax by the canals of Venice and linger a while in Florence and Rome to explore ancient buildings and monuments. Enjoy orientation tours to get yourself started in each city then use your free time to explore, dine, shop or ask your tour director for suggestions. Alternatively, you can take advantage of optional Select Experiences such as a private tour of the significant structures of St Mark’s Square in Venice, a visit to a medieval hilltop village in Tuscany and a special drive taking in the spectacular scenery of the Amalfi Coast. Clients can arrive into the Italian lakes on day one or two or can skip the Italian lakes and arrive into Venice on day three.  They can also elect to depart from Sorrento or Rome on any of the days they are in those cities.

Select Spain and Portugal – 14 days from $2090 per person, twin share, land only). Leave the tour in Madrid on Day 11 and save up to $270 per person off the twin-share. On this leisurely-paced tour, guests will have the chance to truly soak up Spain and Portugal’s vibrant culture, with three-night stays in each of the major cities. Enjoy included excursions and sights such orientation tours of Lisbon, Seville, Madrid and Barcelona, a visit to ancient Cordoba and a journey across Castille. Tailor your experience to your tastes with Select options of half or day excursions in Seville, Madrid, Toleldo and Barcelona and a three quarter day tour in Lisbon.  Clients can arrive into Lisbon on day one, two or three or can skip Lisbon and arrive into Seville on day four.  They can also choose to depart from Madrid or Barcelona on any of the days they are in those cities.

Select Imperial Capitals –10 days from $1625 per person, twin share, land only. Leave the tour in Vienna on Day 7 and save up to $190 per person off the twin-share price. Discover the grandeur of spectacular Imperial Cities such as Heroes’ Square and Citadel of bohemian Budapest; the sights of Ring Road in regal Vienna and the cobbled streets of picturesque Prague with visits to charming villages such as Szentendre and Cesky Krumlov included on traveling days. In the Imperial cities themselves choose between independent exploration or Select Experiences such as an in-depth tours, drives and guided walks. Clients can arrive into Budapest on day one or two or can skip Budapest and arrive into Vienna on day three.
