Day 1: Arrive Kochi
On arrival, transfer to your hotel situated on Willingdon Island with a magnificent view of Cochin harbour. This evening you are free to relax.

Day 2: Kochi, the Queen of the Arabian Sea
This morning, journey to the small island of Kumbalangi for a glimpse into the daily lives of the villagers. Walk through the village, join the fishermen as they raise their Chinese nets or farmers working in the fields. See how the locals spin golden palm fibres into coir and tap the palms for sap to make a potent drink called 'toddy'. This evening you are invited to attend a performance of traditional Kathakali dance, characterised by elaborate makeup, colourful costumes, and some of the most intense facial expressions you'll ever see.(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 3: Kochi ' Alleppey
Your Kochi city tour includes a visit to the oldest Jewish synagogue in the commonwealth. Next witness the renowned mythological murals of Mattancherry Palace, built in 1557 by the Portuguese. Stop by India's oldest European built Church of St Francis to see the tombstone of Vasco de Gama, interred here before his remains were returned back to Lisbon. Transfer to the local jetty to board your houseboat and spend the night on the palm-fringed canals of Alleppey, collectively known as the backwaters. Experience a different world altogether; the tranquillity and languid pace of lagoon life, broken only by the echoing calls of the migratory birds!(Buffet Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

Day 4: Kumarakom
Disembark and transfer to your five-star resort where the rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore this tropical Shangri-la. Maybe take advantage of the resort's bicycles to explore the local villages and spicy pub food. The pool is exceptional, refreshing, and the perfect spot for photos of the houseboats floating lazily on the lake. Perhaps enjoy an Ayurveda treatment, the ancient science of holistic healing for which Kerala is renowned.(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 5: Kumarakom
For those who want to rise early this morning there is an included bird watching tour at Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Set within lush acres of woodland, become acquainted with the variety of migratory birds that flock to the Himalayas. Return to the hotel for breakfast. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy this beautiful paradise on Earth.(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 6: Depart Kochi
