transferred to your tour hotel. Later, enjoy a Welcome Drink. DAY 3 – ATHENS SIGHTSEEING. Your sightseeing tour this morning includes a visit to the Acropolis to admire the Parthenon. Then see the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. (BB) DAY 4 – ATHENS – OLYMPIA. Cross the Corinth canal
and continue to Mycenae. Walk through the Lion Gate, see the
‘Cyclopean’ stones and visit the Beehive Tombs. Continue to
Olympia. DAY 5 – OLYMPIA – DELPHI. Tour the ancient sites of
Olympia, seeing the Olympic Stadium and Gymnasium. Cross to the
mainland and continue to Delphi. Ascend the Sacred Way to the Temple of
Apollo. DAY 6 – DELPHI – KALAMBAKA. Head for the amazing
monasteries of Metéora, perched on pinnacles of rock. Visit one of the monasteries
and enjoy the mountain views. DAY 7 – KALAMBAKA – ATHENS. See the memorial to
Leonidas at Thermopylae before returning to Athens. DAY 8 – CRUISING – MYKONOS. Board your cruise ship and set sail for the lovely island of Mykonos with its white windmills (BB,L,D,S) DAY 9 – CRUISING – RHODES. Spend a full day on Rhodes, the ‘Island of Roses’. Enjoy the Old City and golden beaches. Tonight there is a Greek Evening and Dinner. (BB,L,HD,S) DAY 10 – CRUISING – KUSADASI. Cruise on to the island of Patmos. SMALL GROUPS ADVANTAGE : Many tour operators fill their tours with up to 53 passengers. This means more congestion and less leg room on the coach as seats are configured more closely. At Insight we have a maximum of only 40 guests per tour.
