Day 1 - DEPART USA.
Board your overnight flight.
Day 2 - ARRIVE FRANKFURT - MAINZ.
On arrival at Frankfurt Airport, take your airport
shuttle service for the tour hotel. As night falls,
join your Tour Director for a Welcome Drink.

Day 3 - MAINZ - ROTHENBURG.
Start with an orientation tour of Frankfurt to see Romerberg
Square, the cathedral and the house where Goethe was born. Continue to Heidelberg and climb up to the castle for views over the old quarter. Now on to medieval Rothenburg, the
most well-preserved town on the Romantic Road. Walk through narrow cobbled streets to the market square dominated by its Renaissance Town Hall. Tonight, enjoy traditional German
fayre at your Highlight Dinner.

Day 4 - ROTHENBURG - OBERAMMERGAU.
Follow the Romantic Road south seeing the Wieskirche before arriving in Oberammergau, home to the Passion Play since 1634 (BB,D)
Day 5 - OBERAMMERGAU.
You have the best seats in the house for the Passion Play. (BB,L,D)
Day 6 - OBERAMMERGAU - MUNICH - NUREMBERG - DRESDEN.
On arrival in Munich an orientation tour will show you the main sights of the Bavarian capital Drive north across the Danube to Nuremberg, still entirely enclosed by its fortifications and home of Albrecht Dürer. Although the town was heavily bombed in World War II, instill remains a treasure trove of early German history and medieval architecture. Tour the Old Town, to see the charming blend of stone and timbered dwellings and the massive ramparts with its 46 towers. Take some time toyshop for delicious Lebkuchen (gingerbread) before heading for the 'Florence of the Elbe', Dresden.

Day 7 - DRESDEN - BERLIN.
Join a local guide to see the splendours of the city. From the
Frauenkirche, which has risen again from the destruction of WWII, walk past 'The Procession of the Dukes', a mosaic of colossal proportions on the Royal Palace facade. See the cathedral, Semper Opera House and Zwinger Palace, before
departing for the capital of Berlin.

Day 8 - BERLIN SIGHTSEEING.
A guided sightseeing tour takes you along the Unter den Linden past the Humboldt University and Opera. Stop on Museum Island before passing the Brandenburg Gate. See the glass-domed Reichstag building and drive through the Tiergarten. Spend the afternoon at leisure.(BB)
Day 9 - RETURN TO USA.
Return to USA. (BB)
